Derek Calvin founded Harbour Home Inspections with a focus on performing quality home inspections based on knowledge, honesty and integrity. Mr. Calvin graduated from Ball State University in 1992 with a degree in Business Communications. He has resided in the Indianapolis area for the past sixteen years, and for the past five years, has worked in Quality Control and Customer Service for one of the largest builders in the Indianapolis area. The responsibilities he performed that included but where not limited to, the final inspection of finished homes prior to the customer taking ownership, at which time would be a point of contact for 1 year regarding warranty and repair. Mr. Calvin would conduct follow up inspections with homeowners at 3 months and 11 months, and schedule any repairs as needed.

During that time Mr. Calvin worked very closely with all aspects of construction trades, i.e. concrete and foundation companies, framers, drywall installers, electricians, plumbers, and the list goes on. This work experience has provided Harbour Home Inspections with the knowledge of residential home construction which lends itself perfectly to home inspection.
